Retinol Fix Serum

We’ve made the switch from retinyl palmitate to ultra-effective encapsulated pure retinol. This high-performance, balm-like serum is now powered by a 3% time-release retinol complex with 0.3% AC Retinol Liposome encapsulated pure retinol for effective skin penetration, plus a peptide complex to target fine lines and wrinkles and help to improve skin tone.

What's changed?

Our brand-new encapsulated retinol formula contains a form of retinol that has been balanced and blended with other ingredients to ensure optimum anti-ageing results overnight, every night. Our new and improved formula will also help to lighten hyperpigmentation, especially those caused by sun exposure.

Why use encapsulated retinol?

Our formula now contains a slow-release complex with encapsulated pure retinol instead of a blend of retinyl palmitate and retinol (which comprised our old formula). Encapsulated pure retinol converts to retinoic acid (the most active form of retinol) quicker and is less irritating than other forms. We use three encapsulation techniques to ensure the range is suitable for everyone, for layering in a routine and to minimise the chance of irritation. The formula is also balanced with other skin-boosting ingredients like peptides, ceramides and hyaluronic acid.

How it works:

• 3% time-release complex: Containing 0.3% encapsulated pure retinol, ensuring effective skin penetration and stable delivery of retinol due to lipophilic (oil-loving) nature.
• Bakuchiol: A naturally occurring alternative to retinol that promises similar results. Added to ensure a synergistic complex that encourages cell turnover further.
• Peptide complex: Helps to refine the look of skin tone and texture and targets fine lines.
• Retinol (vitamin A) is naturally yellow. Due to its higher concentration of retinol, this formula exhibits a more pronounced yellow hue. It should be noted that the colour of the serum may darken over time. This change is normal and should not raise any concerns.

WHEN

• Step 2 in your skincare routine – treat
• Apply to a cleansed face and neck before your moisturiser, in the evening only. For best results, use 2-3 times a week.

HOW

Apply to a cleansed face and neck and allow to absorb thoroughly.

ROUTINE

For best results, use as part of a full Retinol Fix routine. If you are new to retinol we recommend starting with 1x per week and building up to 2-3x.

• Step 1: Cleanse using your cleanser of choice, we recommend the Hyaluronic Fix Cleansing Cream
• Step 2: Follow with the Retinol Fix Eye Treatment
• Step 3: Apply the Retinol Fix Serum 3%
• Step 4: Finish with the Retinol Fix Overnight Cream 3%

If you are going to layer this serum over a concentrate, we recommend our Hyaluronic Fix Extreme4 Concentrate which deeply hydrates the skin. This combination is perfect for those with sensitive skin, or those new to retinol, as it minimises the chances of irritation.

Use SPF the morning after applying any retinol product – we recommend applying our Anti-Redness SPF 30 as the final step in your morning routine. This SPF was specifically designed to protect and calm skin after using Retinol Fix.
