Viofo A229 Pro 4K HDR Sony Starvis 2 Sensor Wi-Fi GPS Dash Cam is designed to travel safely on the road and record possible events in high resolution. It offers a wide perspective by capturing clear images with its front 4K camera. Equipped with Sony Starvis 2 sensors, this camera provides clear and detailed images even in low light conditions.

Using Sony's latest STARVIS 2 sensor technology, the A229 Pro offers excellent video quality by capturing every detail day and night with its unique 4K front camera. STARVIS 2 sensor offers wider dynamic range and higher light sensitivity with the IMX678 sensor compared to old technology STARVIS sensors.

Smart Voice Control and Notification

A229 Pro comes with an advanced voice control feature that allows you to start/stop recording, take photos, and turn Wi-Fi on/off with simple spoken commands in multiple languages (English/Chinese/Russian/Japanese). It also notifies you aloud of setting changes or memory card errors, allowing you to focus entirely on the road.

Built-in Ultra Fast 5GHz Wi-Fi

An upgraded 5GHz Wi-Fi connectivity module is integrated into the A229 Pro to provide much faster Wi-Fi data transfer, enabling seamless video previewing, downloading and sharing.

Download Video to Phone Directly via Wired

It supports seamless connection to your smartphone via USB2.0 Type-C to Type-C data cable, enabling super-fast downloading of photos and videos. Notably, on the iPhone 15, the download speed is up to 20 MB/s. This direct connection also ensures hassle-free firmware updates, ensuring access to the latest features and optimal performance.

Note: Please use a USB2.0 Type-C to Type-C data cable and make sure your phone supports 5V2A output. This data transfer method is compatible with iPhone 15 series and newer versions of Android smartphones.

Ultra Sensitive GPS

A229 Pro features a state-of-the-art four-mode GPS module that supports 4 satellite positioning systems: GPS, BeiDou, Galileo and GLONASS, ensuring positioning faster and greatly improving positioning accuracy and stability. The video provides detailed location, speed and time data of the vehicle when played on the VIOFO App or on the computer.

24/7 Recording Modes

Automatic Event Detection

With this mode, the camera will automatically start recording when moving objects are detected. It will shoot for 30 seconds.

Time Lapse Recording

You can save storage space by recording videos at a low frame rate of 1 / 2 / 3 / 5 / 10 fps without sound recording.

Low Bitrate Recording

It allows you to record in mini file sizes that take up less space in storage instead of larger files.

Cyclic Recording and Automatic Emergency Lock

Viofo A229 Pro supports seamless loop recording. In this way, even if your memory card is full, it deletes the oldest videos and overwrites them with new videos. With the built-in G Sensor, it locks the relevant video image file and prevents it from being deleted in cases such as collision or accident.

Resolution: Allows you to obtain high-quality video recordings with the front camera in 4K resolution.

HDR (High Dynamic Range): The HDR feature helps you get clearer and more vivid images by increasing contrast, especially in situations where daylight is variable.

Sony Starvis Sensors: The camera aims to obtain clear and quality images even in low light conditions by using Sony Starvis 2 sensors. IMX678 8MP sensor for front camera.

GPS Module: You can record your vehicle's location and speed with the built-in GPS module.

Wi-Fi Connection: The device can connect to your smartphone via Wi-Fi, so you can access live monitoring and recordings via the app.

Parking Mode: Automatically starts recording when motion is detected while the vehicle is parked.

G-sensor: The device has a G-sensor to automatically protect the recording in case of an unexpected collision.
